How to install P8510 device? (Not software related)
Hi.
I've been trying to found an installation guide, which should be very simple anyway, for the P8510 sensor, but can't find any. I read somewhere that the device must be installed with the sensor pointing down. Can someone confirm this and also tell me about additional installation procedures ?

Yes you have right, device install with sensor down - this is necessary for measuring accuracy.

Thanks for replying John. I've already read and used the quickstart guide before. My question was more related to the physical instalation of the thermometers rather than configuration/software. For example, things like the sensor poiting down or otheres I may need to consider.
Do you know of any other considerations besides the sensor direction?

Hi,
No, I think there is only one installation restriction (sensor cover down).
of course there are some installation place restrictions:
- Do not use the instrument in an explosive environment.
- Operating temperature and humidity range: electronics: -30 to +80 °C, 0 to 100 % RH (not condensing)
- Normal environment with the specifications: AE1, AN1, AR1, BE1 (IEC 60364-5-51)
- Use a safety ac/dc adapter.
- Do not use the instrument without the cover.
- Connect and disconnect correctly. Do not connect and disconnect a LAN cable or lead-in cables if the device is under electric voltage.
