Nagios integration for temperature monitoring

I'm buying a P8541 with 4 temperature sensors to monitor a computer room.
I'm planning to collect the 4 temperature values with the existing nagios monitoring system.
Anyone knows if there is any nagios plugin ready for use?
This kind of devices are very often offered with the nagios support and the nagios plugin development is relatively easy. Is Comet planning to give this support?
Thanks

Re: Nagios integration for temperature monitoring

I afraid we haven't actually nagios plugin. P8541 actually supports flowing communication protocols:

- Modbus TCP
- SOAP protocol (PHP and ASP .NET example)
- SNMP protocol+SNMP trap (MIB tables, Template for Cacti, C# example)
- Syslog protocol
- SMTP protocol
- www server

Re: Nagios integration for temperature monitoring

Friend.
In Brazil we have many customers who use Nagios to monitor the sensors of the Comet.
They use a generic SNMP plugin, which does get and compare with the limits.
We intend to develop a plugin. If you are interested in submitting a proposal for development, we can talk.
If you have difficulty in integrating Nagios with me know I will try to talk to customers that already use.

Re: Nagios integration for temperature monitoring

Hi,

I think best way is ask companies which implementing Nagios for technical support. We haven't any experience with Nagios system.
Maybe you can ask our Brazil distributor from previous post. But this support is not provided by Comet and probably will not be free of cost.
