Re: About Ethernet sensors

Yes, it is possible.
We recommend the Tirs.Net software from Coral company. You can download free demo from page http://www.coral.cz/download/TIRS.NET_D … _Comet.zip. For installation please follow instruction bellow:

Step 1 - Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 installation
Base platform for running the software.
Step 2 - Microsoft SQL Server MSDE installation
  Used for historical databases.
Step 3 - TIRS.NET System Base
Base of the TIRS.NET system .
Step 4 - TIRS.NET PRJ Database.
Creates default project structure and connects the database.
Step 5 – Install demo projects
Application for 2 sensors Comet T3511. Creates SQL database TN_MAIN_COMET_T3511
Note: Created SQL databse for this project has this name and password, it can be used by advanced users for future data processing.

User Name: sa
Password: coral

Because Comet T3511 is connected through net, IP adress of each device in the demo project should be set manually.
1) Run Microsoft Notepad from MS Windows.
2) Open a file c:\TNPRJ\Comet_T3511\Comet_T3511.xml
3) Find a line with
TCP192.168.1.213:502
and
TCP192.168.1.214:502
, and change IP and port according to your actual system.
4) Save the file.

2. Run the demo
Run DEMO–COMET T3511 shortcut from the Desktop.
Visualisation Panel will start, you will be asked for a password, enter any password you choose - it can be used for future possible editing.

Of course, you can use any software with modbus or SNMP or SOAP communication.
Other variant is use the GNU Cacti project www.cacti.net. We can send to you installation manual and templates for our devices. Support for this project is througt the Cacti community.
You can try to use our freeware SensorReader software. For every device you must run the SensorReader separately.

This demo allow you read only 6 modbus values. For full functionality you must buy software license from Coral company (http://www.coral.cz/). For details please contact the Coral company.
What did you exactly mean with the history? The Tirs.Net storage values to its database self.

Well, you have two T3511 sensors (Sensor1, Sensor2) - I suppose configured.

First, install SensorReader software.
Run SensorReader (Start->Programs->Comet->SensorReader).
Connect to Sensor1, set read/log properties and press Start.
You read/log from Sensor1.

Then run SensorReader (Start->Programs->Comet->SensorReader) - this is other SensorReader (now you have two instances of SensorReader software).
Connect to Sensor2, set read/log properties and press Start.
Now, you read/log from two sensors (Sensor1 and Sensor2).

Re: About Ethernet sensors

Ad 1. If you are using the Tirs.Net demo version, you can connect maximum 6 modbus values to this software. Remember, this demoversion is time limited. For details please contact the Coral company.
Ad 2. Please read the technical documentation in Tirs.Net software, or contact the Coral company directly. We have no techical support for this software.
Ad 3. I don't know, what is the maximum nubmer of running programs in windows. By my opinion, if you need to store data from more than 3 sensors, it is better to use another software than SensorReader. (Tirs.Net, Cacti...)

http://www.coral.cz/downloads/TIRS.NET_Demo.zip

Here you can download demo project and manual for Cometsystem ethernet transmitters:
http://www.coral.cz/downloads/demoproje … hernet.zip
http://www.coral.cz/downloads/demoproje … t_v1.0.pdf

Here you can download demo project and manual for Cometsystem RS-485 transmitters:
http://www.coral.cz/downloads/demoproje … RS_485.zip

I took notice off all that is in czech language. Please contact Coral s.r.o via email: CORAL@CORAL.cz

The address http://www.coral.cz/download/TIRS.NET_D … _Comet.zip seems to be obsolete.
