Re: Setting e-mail

So, you really can't change e-mail address in LanAdapter now. It's property.
But we plan solve this and allow change e-mail address in LanAdapter next time.

You can send e-mail from LanAdapter. Try send test email from LanAdapter to your email address:

Run commandline and write 'telnet --LanAdapterIPaddress-- 9999' (e.g. telnet 192.168.1.6 9999).
Press Enter and write '1' to set SMTP.
Press 'Y' to enable sending emails.
Set SMTP server IP address (server for e-mail sending).
Set your e-mail address (into receiver1 item), then you may set another email receivers addresses.
Finally press 'Y' to send test email.

If no test e-mail come to your e-mail address, problem may be in the e-mail servers setting (spam protection e.g.).

Re: Setting e-mail

It means new firmware ("new File for download").

But the solution depends on too many factors now.

Re: Setting e-mail

sorry ,I had a little busy last week.

LanAdapter@192.168.0.191.
"192.168.0.191" It is my LanAdapter's IP address, not my mail service.
So I can't use it to send e-mail .
My mail service is 168.95.4.211
Is it any possible to solve this question.
Thanks

Re: Setting e-mail

Hi Edward,
I'm sorry but could you describe your problem once again and more precisely. I don't understand yet what your problem really is.

You wrote:

LanAdapter e-mail adress: LanAdapter@192.168.0.191........... .It's wrong . Could I change it?
"192.168.0.191" It is my LanAdapter's IP address, not my mail service.
--------------
It is right, it is the name for Mail From item not for mail server address.

Your mail server is in different subnet so you must set gateway correctly (is 192.168.0.1 right address of your gateway)?

Why you can't use  "LanAdapter@192.168.0.191" to send e-mail?

What about test email, was it delivered or what was happen?

Thanks for better description of your problem.

Re: Setting e-mail

Ok, step by step:

Now we are speaking about LANADAPTER not about Tsensor - two different devices, do not mix their properties together!

>>I want "LanAdapter" sent e-mail to me ,My LanAdapter ip address is 192.168.0.191 ,gateway: 192.168.0.1 , mail service : 168.95.4.211.
Ok, it looks fine

I'd like to know some info about test email sending from LAN ADAPTER (comes/don't comes).
Lanadapter DO NOT support setting of your own LanAdapter e-mail adress now. It is set as: LanAdapter@its IPaddress (yours LanAdapter@192.168.0.191), so you CAN NOT to set it!

Don't ask me how can do it but tell me why do you need set it please. What the problem is.

Re: Setting e-mail

My problem is I can't get e-mail from Lanadapter while  the setting value is higher than measuting value.

I thinking the problem is 192.168.0.191  and 168.95.4.211.
one is intranet and the other is internet.
so I ask you could I change  "LanAdapter e-mail adress".

test email can't send from LAN ADAPTER .

what setting I need to rejigger?

thanks

Having a nice day.

Re: Setting e-mail

Theoretically your Lanadapter IP 192.168.0.191 and email server IP 168.95.4.211 is not a problem, because of the gate provide necessary connection from your Intranet to Internet (your email server). So there are probably two possibilities, where the problem can occur:
1.    The problem may be in email server setting (is blocking emails from Lanadapter)
2.    The problem may be in your gate setting
Please contact your network administrator to check its setting.
If your email server checks (filter) email sender address (domain name), you are not able to change it into Lanadapter now.
Note: The Lanadapter don’t support SMTP-Auth extension of SMTP.
