check_snmp with T0510

Hi all!
I am trying to get thermometer readings into our monitoring software - Nagios.

- I can ping the thermometer from the monitoring computer
- The web-interface works
- I have a working installation of Nagios.

I try the follwing:
ad@nagios:/usr/lib/nagios/plugins$ ./check_snmp -H 192.xx.xx.xx -C public -o iso.3.6.1.4.1.22626.1.2 -w 20 -c 28

But I get the following error:
CRITICAL - Plugin timed out while executing system call

1. Is the thermometer supposed to answer with the current temperature when asked by the OID specified?
2. Is there a better way to get the Comet thermometer into Nagios monitoring software?

Help is greatly appreciated!!

Re: check_snmp with T0510

Hi,

For this moment we haven't direct support for Nagios. Because WebSensors supports SNMPv1 and MIB tables are available then will not be problem add it into Nagios. Unfortunately we haven't any experience with Nagios. We are not able provide technical support this 3rd party software. But if there will be strong requirements from our customers we can change our approach.

I am not sure, but do you read correct OID? Temperature in T0510 has OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.22626.1.2.1.1 (or .1.3.6.1.4.1.22626.1.2.1.1.0 for some DAQ systems).
