No comunication to the flow-meter
Hi, I've a S7021 Pulse/Event logger connected via serial port to a SMC digital flow switch model PFM7 with open collector PNP output.
The output (+) of the flow-meter is linked to the n. 6 pin of serial port (channel 1), and I've verified the potential on it.
I'can't read the values on the program for datalogger (ver. 3.0.0.9).
The software works well to the datalogger and the setting of the device are possible.
The datalogger in ON but the display show 0 and OFF and log.
Could you help me to find the problem?

Hello Edoardo,
I think you have wrong type of output. Correct output of your flow meter will be NPN transistor not PNP.
But if you need to use PNP output you must add resistor 5k6 or lower between PINs 6 a 5 of logger connector. This resistor is necessary for low voltage level.
