T3511 SNMP

we have a few of these sensors and they operate very well.
Very occasionally the SNMP communication fails i have found this to be due to the public password being changed (all by itself). I think this is as a result of some other program messig with the passwords.
Environment is all microsoft servers??

has anybody else experienced this problem (it has only occured twice in over a year so it is not critical in any way but it would be nice to sort it out)

Re: T3511 SNMP

Could you be more detailed, when the password change occured? Was it after read or write operation, or after another operation with sensor?

Re: T3511 SNMP

i only ever do reads.
I have been told it may be linked to SNMP discovery packets being sent by other services on the network?

Re: T3511 SNMP

I think, it is unlikely. I'll try to simulate this situation.

Re: T3511 SNMP

I have found the solution
It is some discovery type software for a type of RS485 to ethernet convertor being used on our network.
Every time this software is used is seems to reset sensors using the 1.4.4.00 firmware the sensors i have with 1.4.4.06 have never reset (but that could just be luck).
